PCBS BRONCO BASEBALL

 PCBS Bronco League Information to know: 

  • For boys and girls in 5th & 6th Grade for the most recent school year. 
  • It is a competitive league of combined ages.
  • There are Standings, Playoffs and All-Star Team voting. 
  • Bases are 70’ apart; 99’ Home to 2nd base; Pitching distance is 48’. 
  • Balks, Infield fly, and intentional walk rules are applicable. 
  • Stealing of all bases is applicable.
  • A 5th Grader must pitch 2 innings or 6 outs in each game.
  • Curve or breaking pitches are NOT allowed.
  •  5 run limit per inning through the end of 3rd inning; Unlimited runs for each following inning
  •  Mercy Rules are applicable; 15 after 4 innings, 12 after 5 innings and 10 after 6 innings.
  • Rules: PCBS follows the Illinois High School Association with the exception of the specific rules outlined in the PCBS Bronco rulebook available under the menu PCBS information->Downloads. Look for PCBS-Baseball-Drafted_BRONCO
  • Bat rules can be found in the rule book or under the menu PCBS information->Bat Rules.
  • Each team will be scheduled 2-3 times per week for practices and/or games (scheduling will vary dependent on field availability and weather).
  • Practices time slots are up to 2 hours long.
  • Game play in this league is 2 hour time limit or 7 innings (1hr 45min time limit or 6 innings on weeknights before Memorial Day).
  • More practices and games on our premier fields (Gbur / Hamilton).
  • Many leagues could have 5:00pm through 7:30pm starts for practices and games on weeknights.
