About Palatine Colt League
The PCBS Colt League is available to all ballplayers interested in playing baseball while attending high school**. This league allows boys to continue to play baseball in a structure that is highly competitive, very exciting and fun whether they currently play on the high school baseball team or engage in other sports and activities at school.
In past seasons, our league consisted of teams from Palatine, Barrington, Rolling Meadows, Hoffman Estates and Schaumburg. This allows our players the opportunity to continue to play together against outstanding competition from other towns.
In addition to 10 to 16 regular season games, there is a year-end tournament in early August with all teams participating.
While individual coaches and players may arrange for a few practices, the focus for this league is on playing games. The season typically begins during the first week in June and continues until early August. Games are played on the weekends with a few evening games during the week. The schedules generally do not conflict with other sports camps or activities conducted by the high schools over the summer. However, we do organize rosters and schedules to be flexible enough to accommodate some conflicts when players have other commitments.
- There are no tryouts for the Colt League.
- Notification of team assignments and schedules are made in late May/early June.
- We attempt to accommodate player requests when organizing teams.
- You may E-mail the League Commissioner any requests with regard to player assignments after registering.
- League rules available here for download.
