Rookies Co-ed Baseball

Continue your child’s development in the sport of baseball through this non-competitive, co-ed league.

Ages	Kindergarten (for the most recent school year)
Games	10-12 games per season
Cost	$195.00 base price for Palatine residents
Commitment	Teams will meet twice per week, once during the week for practices and once on Saturdays for a game.

LEAGUE INFORMATION

Rookies is a non-competitive, co-ed league.
Teams are assigned based on submitted preferences during registration and elementary school attended.
There are no recorded wins and losses, standings, playoffs or all-star game.
Practice time slots are 1 hour long.
Games are 5 innings with a 1:45 time limit.
An inning is complete after a team gets 3 outs, scores 3 runs, or bats through the order.
Games are umpired by coaches from both teams.
All batters hit off of a tee for the first half of the season, and transition to coach-pitch during the second half of the season.
Batters and runners may advance on a batted ball until the ball is returned to within the diamond.
Runners may not advance on an overthrow.
Stealing of bases and leadoffs are not allowed.
Bases are 50’ apart; 70’9” Home to 2nd base; Pitchers mound is 36’.
Bats must be no more than 33” with a max barrel of 2-⅝” and be USA Baseball certified.
