Step up to the plate! The PCBS is in need of additional volunteers within our organization. We are looking for individuals who are ready to make a positive impact in the community. You do not have to be a baseball or softball expert and there are many ways you can help. Time commitments range from just a few hours a month to positions which require more regular involvement. Like a business we have to maintain operations, inventory, finances, website and more. Let us know you’d like to be a volunteer and if you have any particular area of interest. WHY VOLUNTEER?

The players sprint to their positions, coaches post lineups and rally their squads, and the umpire shouts, “Play Ball,” before the first pitch snaps the leather of the catcher’s mitt….

This same scene plays out hundreds of times from April through October on fields throughout Palatine. We see it so often that it seems automatic and commonplace which means our Volunteers are doing an AMAZING JOB! But it’s not EASY…

To get there, it took hundreds of hours of work by volunteers.

Volunteers who are interested in contributing to their community. Volunteers who recognize the value of learning to win… and to lose. Volunteers who understand cooperation and working as a team. Volunteers who remember the experiences they had on the baseball and softball diamonds of their youth and the friendships that lasted long after they left those chalky white lines.

We know that our community overflows with smart, motivated, and talented people. This is a great opportunity to become more involved in your community. Come volunteer!
