Colt Baseball

Learn teamwork and foster a love of the sport of baseball through this competitive league.

Ages	All high schoolers (for the most recent school year)
Games	12-14 games per season. Concludes with playoffs and a Championship game.
Cost	$245.00 base price for Palatine residents
Commitment	Teams will meet 2-3 times per week for practices and/or games.

LEAGUE INFORMATION

Colt is a competitive league with combined ages.
Teams are drafted by the team managers based on player ratings gathered from a player’s previous year coach. If your player did not play PCBS in the previous year, they are required to attend our ratings day and be graded by a panel. (An email invite will be sent with the time and location of ratings day after registration if your player needs to attend.)
Wins and losses are recorded, standings are published, and the season ends with playoffs.
The league will also feature an All-Star game on Championship Weekend
All-Star participants will be voted on by each teams’ players.
Practice time slots are 1:30 long.
Games are 7 innings with a 2:00 time limit.
There is no run limit for any inning.
Mercy Rule: The game ends when one team is leading the other by 15 or more runs after 4 innings, 12 or more runs after 5 innings, or 10 or more runs after 6 innings, and the losing team has batted four or more complete innings and at least as many complete innings as the winning team.
Stealing of bases and leadoffs are allowed.
Intentional walks, bunting, infield fly and dropped 3rd strike rules are in effect.
Bases are 90’ apart; 127’3”’ Home to 2nd base; Pitchers mound is 60’6”.
Bats must be no more than 34” with a max barrel of 2-⅝” and be BBCOR certified. The weight of the bat in ounces must be no more than 3 less than the length of the bat in inches (“drop 3”).
Metal cleats are allowed.
